Entertainment Today Vol 1

Entertainment Today

Last week Rihanna rocked “ghetto” Bantu knots and a black lace dress to the iHeartRadio Music Awards, but this week she is elegantly styled in white for the MET Gala. Rihanna, truly a fashionista, knows how to keep people on their toes with her constantly changing, always flawless styles. We are always looking forward to seeing what she does next.

Upcoming Event Controversy

Top Gear Festival

Top Gear host Jeremy Clarkson has been in a bit of trouble lately. Recently, allegations have been formed against him stating that he used racist language while shooting the popular BBC show. He has since apologized. This may put a damper on the Top Gear Festival slated for May 1718 here in Barabados which Clarckson is scheduled to host. The planners of the festival have so far stated that he will still be a part of the event as his prescence is crucial to its success.

Crop Over Calvacades

The start of Crop Over is usually signalled by a line of weekly calvacades. This year it was revealed that the calvacades have been cancelled in an attempt to look at cost effectiveness of the season. Since that time, a negotiation has been made that there will instead be one massive calvacade to be held at Queens Park on May 30th this is thanks to the input of a number of sponsors. We are really looking forward to this calvacade. As it was said, one is better than none!
