Miss Universe Barbados Pageant

Mark the date for this amazing pageant that allows some of the most beautiful and talented Barbadian young women to compete for the much coveted Miss Universe Barbados Crown and the honour of representing Barbados at the Miss Universe Pageant.
BPMSO Race Meeting: Digicel Williams International — Race Meet.
Venue: Bushy Park, St. Phillip
Date: September 3rd (Qualifying Rounds) and 4th (Race Day)
Start time: (Race Day): 8am (gates and ticket booths open at 7:30 am)
This competition sees the best of the best of moor sport in the regioncompete in this meet at bushy park. This race meet is a 23 race programme including headline competitions such as round three of the 2016 Seaboard Marine Caribbean Motor Racing Championship (CMRC), rounds of the Suzuki Challenge Series SR3 Cup and Swift Cup and the BPMSI’s own 2016 Club Championship. Gates for the qualifying rounds on September 3rd open at 9am.
Sagicor Globeathon Barbados 2016
Venue: Bay Street Esplanade
Date: September 11th
Start time: 4:00pm(Timed Run & Walk) and 4:05(Fun Walk)
The Barbados Cancer Society presents Sagicor Globeathon Barbados. The annual walk and run is a platform to educate persons on gynaecological cancer and provide tips for lifestyle changes. The walk & 5K run starts and ends at the Bay Street Esplanade with a route through Bridgetown. This year the proceeds will be in aid of improving Women’s Cancer Services at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. The warm up session starts at 3:30pm.
Konscious Wednesdaze at The Marina Bar and Restaurant

Each day of each week in the year, some restaurants in Barbados have a special themed night. Wednesdays in September features Konscious Wednesdaze at the Marina Bar and Restaurant, where patrons can come out and hear their favourite conscious reggae tunes, while enjoying great food. If you choose to attend, make sue to grab a Teppanyaki Grill table, and experience the chef cooking up close and in person just for you!
A Trip to the Movies
Two movies slated to air in the month of September are Pete’s Dragon and Bridget Jones’ Baby. Pete Dragon features the adventures of an orphaned boy named Pete and his dragon best friend, Elliot, while Bridget Jones’ Baby is yet another sequel in the Bridget Jones’ series, this time featuring the adventures of Jones as she enters her 40s.
Exotic Barbados – 80 Mile Tour
Dates: Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday
This exotic Tour is ideal for those who wish to truly explore Barbados. This is no ordinary excursion. The tour will last for 6 to 7 hours and will allow you to discover the west coast of the island and explore the north and east coasts with its coral cliffs. Reggae on the Boardwalk

Join David Kirton and the live band as he performs his End of Summer edition at Blakey’s on the Boardwalk. He will be performing some of his biggest hits of Modern Roots Reggae, Gimme de Green Camouflage, Time for change and Free to Fly. Special guest performances by Albert Olton, Tabitha and the Uproot Project. Admission is free!
Hike Barbados: Special Hike
Bring your hiking gear to St. George Parish Church and learn about Barbados, while enjoying a good workout and good company. This Special Hike is a moonlight hike and begins at 6pm.
Jammin Sun Blast Cruise
Swim and snorkel with the turtles over a ship wreck, enjoy the water slides, or just relax under the sun on a waterbed every Tuesday from 9am until 2: 30pm.
Rediscover Restaurant Programme
Experience a 3-course dinner, with a bottle of wine, at the low rate of BDS $99 person at select restaurants.
An interactive exhibition showcasing the culture of Carnival in the Caribbean and the local Crop Over festival through canvas, textile, clay and wood. Curated by Lois Crawford, featuring work from Lorna Wilson, Gordon Gordon Oliver Ashby, Mary Gibbs, Catherine Chee-A Tow, Lois Crawford, Christobel Ishmael, Sherridean Taylor-Skeete, Romell Chase, Arlette St Hill, Gloria Chung, Sally Henry, Martina Pile Zahles. The exhibition runs from 5th August to 27th September at the Art Splash Gallery daily from 9:00am to 3:00pm. Admission is free.
Mahalia’s Corner 2016
Each Sunday in September, Mahalia and the NexCyx band showcase the diverse and unique side of the local special guest artists in an imitate setting. Mahalia’s Corner also has an open Mic session where the audience can take their talent to the stage in spoken word, music or any other expressive medium. The season première is Sunday 04th September at 8:00pm featuring Joaquin. Ticket can be purchase at select locations island wide.
Learn to Surf
Ride the Tide Surf School provides fun and practical surf lessons for beginners. All you need is a swimsuit, a towel, some swimming ability, sunscreen and a smile. Jay, the head coach and owner will get you the best waves on island and even GoPro film your lesson! Surfboard are also available for rent/hire. Ride the Tide Surf School received TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence 2016.
